The 31st edition of the Montreux Volley Masters is coming closer with great strides. And while Volleyball fans from around the globe can hardly wait for the most prestigious invitational Volleyball tournament to begin, the teams have turned to the fine-tuning for the big matchups awaiting them on the Swiss Riviera.
One of the teams playing for glory in the picturesque city of Montreux are Brazil. The Volleyball giant is going to participate in the Montreux Volley Masters for the 14th time in history – this time, however, with young and aspiring gold medallists of the 2015 FIVB Women’s U23 World Championship. Brazil’s rising stars are poised to gather the seventh title for the South American Volleyball nation after 1994, 1995, 2005, 2006, 2009, and 2013.
Therefore, Brazilian national coach Wagner Coppini Fernandes, better known as Wagão, has already named the players who made the U23 national team for the prestige tournament in the picturesque city of Montreux.
And Volleyball fans from around the world can already look forward to the performance of the aspiring youngsters. Silva Juma (Most Valuable Player as well as Best Setter of the 2015 FIVB Women’s U23 World Championship) and Rosamaria Montibeller (Best Opposite of the 2015 FIVB Women’s U23 World Championship) are just two stars of the very promising youngsters in the roster of Brazil.
Nonetheless, the Montreux Volley Masters is going to be a huge challenge for the 2015 FIVB Women’s U23 World champs. The Volleyball prospects are going to face 2016 World Cup gold medallists China on Tuesday, May 31, at 6.45pm (CET), 2015 European Games champs Turkey on Thursday, June 2, at 6.45pm, as well as the strong side from Belgium on Friday, June 3, at 4.30pm.
