Lausanne will be hosting the Youth Olympic Games in 2010. Its mascot, Yodli, tried some volleyball with the kids taking part at the mini-volley tournament organised as a side event of the Masters. Afterwards Yodli encouraged Switzerland during its last game of the tournament agains Germany. The Youth Olympic Games will take place from Jan. 9th to Jan. 22th. The event will take place in and around Lausanne, on the shores of Lake Geneva, and in the nearby Vaud Alps. The Youth Olympic Village will be located in the heart of the city’s 35,000 student university campus.
