The opening ceremony of the 34th Montreux Volley Masters took place in the VIP room. The first speech was delivered by Mr. François Pochon, President of the Organisation Committee, followed by Mr. Nicolas Imhof, Chief of Sport Departement of the Canton de Vaud, and then by Mr. Laurent Wehrli, Mayor of Montreux and National Counselor. Everyone of them emphasized on the importance of such a tournament, not only for the volleyball world, but also for promoting sport practicing to young people and fostering social bonds. Long live the Montreux Volley Masters !
